Legend LX Supreme is perhaps the best regulator ever created by Aqua Lung.
It is stylish, comfortable and secure!
LX Supreme is from the Legend Series regulators for cold water. A distinguishing feature of the LX Supreme though is that Aqua Lung has added the option to finely regulate the flow of air in the second stage.
This regulator is with balanced first and second stages. Balanced first stage allows secure and powerful airflow at great depths and the venture mechanism at the second stage allows the regulation of the airflow at different depths. These features ensure maximum comfort and enable the breathing to be smooth and effortless.
Additional feature is the very practical integrated ACD (auto-closure device) system at the first stage, which is a plug that prevents water penetration whenever the valve is off the cylinder. However in about 1 year of active use the plug begins to allow a little water penetration. This is not a problem for the experienced divers who are so used to affix the standard rubber plugs anyway thereby preventing water penetration and moisture to enter the first stage.
The 1st stage has 2 outputs for high pressure, allowing the divers to install both a pressure gauge (classical method) and at the same time to include a Wireless Transmitter from their diving computer. Thus divers always have full information regarding the air in the tank from the computer and a back up information from the classical manometer.
Using this regulator in deep dives (70 m) is a real pleasure. It is suitable for different air mixtures (air, nitrox, tri-mix). I like the ergonomic shape of the second stage as it makes the regulator extremely comfortable.
My overall experience of the Legend series regulators is that they are extremely safe, comfortable and effective. I would recommend the regulator both for advanced as well as for professional divers who appreciate comfort and precision under water.
